Hinting
The sweet ache of anticipation
Ignore, In a Good Way
Hinting is driving by, but not really knocking on the door... yet. You can build anticipation and intensify pleasure by moving toward a sensitive spot, over and over, but only occasionally touching it. Think of it as a series of playful fake-outs before indulging with attention, then moving right back to even more teasing approaches.

What It Feels Like
“I tell my husband, in advance, that I’m going to say put it in… but not to listen. Because I know it’ll be even better the longer he holds out.”
“For me, what makes it most pleasurable is if I constantly have something to look forward to - like it’s constantly about to go in, but I don’t know when.”
Bringing it to the Bedroom
Helpful Guidelines
- Repetition is your friend. Repeating it over and over builds anticipation.
- A light touch. Less pressure is usually better.
- Get irregular. Avoid a pattern (for example, touch on every third pass) because it can become predictable.
Most Common Challenges
- Too brief. This technique needs a few minutes. Just a few sets of hints don’t usually build noticeable anticipation.
- Too fast. Elongate the time it “almost” touches by slowing the stroke.
- Too often. Employ fewer “almost” touches to let the anticipation build.
